As an Airfreight Forwarder, you will be working on your own initiative and also be a key player in the airfreight team to offer solutions in a timely and efficient manner to the customer to ensure all aspects of the operation are managed to a high and efficient standard.
The role:
- Coordinate and align customer deliverables with customer teams, partners and suppliers to manage the transportation of customer's cargo
- Manage operational tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA) and all related features.
- Review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions, including to clarify any deviations/conflicts in contradiction to country regulations, export compliance and rate and routing information.
- To immediately report problems, operational disputes or discrepancies to supervisors, managers, divisional managers or branch managers.
- To monitor operational performance of carriers and other vendors and escalate / create awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered
- To initiate and resolve any rate or performance discrepancies.
- To work with Sales and Customer teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.
Required:
- Freight forwarding industry certification. Preferable to have excellent multi modal Freight & Logistics understanding.
- Experience in a similar position in the past and distribution expertise.
- Experienced in updating the tariffs.
- Used to work Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that the department runs efficiently and with professionalism.
- Proactive participation and adherence to the company QSHE system
- Hazardous Goods Training
