The Branch Manager role will be focused on managing the operational and business development activities within the Cork Branch and to also support the Ireland Management Team to achieve key company objectives. This role requires a person who can display demonstrable leadership skills, strategic thinking with an innovative mindset and can influence at senior management, customer, and key stakeholder levels. The role will be split, focused 50% on business development and 50% on managing the operational function of the Branch.
The Role:
- Day to day support and supervision to motivate and drive efficiency for all branch staff across various roles
- Responsible for annual performance appraisals for branch staff and setting of KPI’s for evaluation
- Problem-solving function covering Import, Export, Warehousing and Quality matters
- Ensure the Cork Branch continues to meet high levels of customer service and quality
- Analysis of the Import/Export operation and to implement changes in order to increase profitability
- Support the monthly review of P&Lreports and advise of any issues
- Ensuring excellent customer service is maintained by all branch staff
- Support the Quality Team to ensure that security procedures are in line with the Air Cargo Security Program
- Oversee the day to day administrative matters of the Branch
- Develop new and existing business opportunities
- Develop and maintain a high-quality pipeline of target customers and opportunities
- Support the Internal Sales Team where necessary to generate quotations
Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a management role
- Minimum 10 years freight forwarding experience (Multi-Modal preferred)
- Proven commercial experience in supplier/customer management and development
- Proven successful business development experience in the freight marketplace
- Customer focus with a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Terms:
Full Time, Permanent, 80% Site-Based (1 day a week from home)
