Established Global Freight Forwarder now seeks an experienced Business Support Executive to join their Commercial Team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will provide support to the sales & operational teams and assist in the rollout of the digital offering to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for monitoring internal systems, researching market trends, analysing data, providing reporting, maintaining pricing tools and collaborating closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities and improve performance.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assisting the implementation and rollout of Salesforce & Online Systems
  • Monitoring internal use of systems and suggesting process improvements
  • Working with tech and digital teams to facilitate new requirements and improvements 
  • Working with operational teams to provide feedback and ensure best practice
  • Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify all potential sales opportunities
  • Ensure that all sales activity is accurately reported within Salesforce
  • Reviewing customers that are not currently using the digital services and work with the sales team to promote our offering
  • Managing the Business Analytics & Reporting lead to ensure effective management reporting is provided
  • Produce KPI reports where required  
  • Maintain awareness of company products and of relevant sales techniques in line with Company values
  • Research and analyze internal and external market information to enable the business units to identify opportunities and develop products and services which will support business objectives
  • Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to facilitate sales & marketing campaigns
  • Ensure that presentations to customers are consistent and aligned with the companies brand
  • Handle all customer communication in a timely manner
  • Develop, update & maintain pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends
  • Manage & monitor all contract pricing 
  • Monitoring customer activity and reach out to customers to help them make full use of the service and features we offer
  • Attend sales meetings and conferences as and when required and any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within a commercial environment ideally within the freight or logistics industry.
  • Microsoft Office required, ideally with exposure to Salesforces 
  • Customer relations experience
  • Effective communicator, excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Actively contributes to the development of a supportive team environment
  • Attention to detail - ensures that work is executed accurately and completely
  • Strong analytical and administration skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative 
  • Marketing knowledge an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to think strategically.

Full-time, permanent, office based with potential for hybrid
