
Our client a specialist in short sea, freight forwarding is seeking to appoint a Business Support Lead within the Freight Department. The purpose of this role is to fully support the Sales Team in a strong administrative capacity using the department's IT systems and processes.
Role / Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support to the Management and Sales Team
- Compiling reports using various IT systems – SAP, Power BI and bespoke company IT systems
- Managing and updating customer database and files
- Maintaining IT systems to ensure all records are up to date
- Become a subject matter expert on the company’s services, processes and operations to ensure best-in-class service is delivered on each and every customer interaction
- Be part of all new initiatives and opportunities presented to grow and sustain the commercial division
- Have strong knowledge of all departmental IT systems and solutions in order to ensure that a full backup to the various roles can be seamlessly undertaken
Skills / Qualifications / Experience – The Person:
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues/ customers both written and verbally. The ability to work co-operatively and flexibly with other members of the team with a full understanding of the role to be played as a valuable team member.
- Analytical & Problem Solving: Capacity to analyse data, diagnose problems, identify key issues, establish courses of action and produce a logical, practical and acceptable solution.
- IT Experience Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Working Skills: Ability to manage workload by prioritising and working to deadlines and strong attention to detail.
- Relevant Experience: 3-4 years working in a similar role, in business analytics with demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis.
- Qualifications: Relevant Business Diploma / Degree desirable
Salary:
€30,000 - €35,000 per year (DOE)
Terms:
Full-time, Permanent, Site Based, Days and hours of work: Monday - Friday 9:00 Am - 5:30 PM (flexibility is required)
