My Client, a global player in the Logistics industry based in Shannon now requires a Control Tower Operative in Ocean Freight. This role requires flexibility and enthusiasm along with the ability and desire to excel.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with overseas teams in all Global Geographies
  • Managing and develop relationships
  • To provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential customers
  • Manage Customer activities closely whilst goods are in transit
  • Customer Order Booking
  • Dealing with incoming correspondence
  • Dealing with telephone queries – both inbound and outbound
  • Dealing with Hauliers and Shipping lines
  • Management of KPIs and Daily Reports


Minimum Requirements:


  • Freight experience in a Freight Forwarder
  • Strong Customer service skills, willingness to go the extra mile to resolve issues.
  • Industry documentation knowledge
  • Strong time management, ability to work under pressure
  • Data accuracy/attention to detail, essential for KPI's
  • Microsoft Office skills and other Business Systems Experience
  • Ambitious, wants to learn and develop, team player
  • Ability to problem solve




Permanent, Full-time.




€32k - €35k basic salary
