A well-respected North Dublin Freight Forwarder is now hiring a Country Manager. This is a leadership role with overarching responsibility for Operations in Ireland. You will have ultimate responsibility for leading and managing an efficient and profitable business, overseeing and coordinating all branch activities to meet KPI goals. 

The Country Manager’s role is to maintain the company’s presence in the geographical area and represent the business to attract new customers as well as retaining existing ones. You will actively participate in and contribute to Company leadership and management initiatives to improve performance and productivity levels. The Country manager will provide support for business development activities for the branch in collaboration with the sales and Product teams, having overall ownership of the branch P&L.

Experience, Education, and Skills Required:

  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience in the local freight forwarding market.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading multi-functional teams, including finance, operations, sales, and customer service.
  • Experience in profit and loss (P&L) management, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Strong business development background with a focus on customer acquisition and retention.
  • Familiarity with managing branch or country-level operations, including handling KPIs and operational goals.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Sales, to drive business growth.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategies to enhance operational performance and productivity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and stakeholders.
  • Business acumen with strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly related to financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Proficient in logistics and freight management software systems.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving market conditions.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
