A long-established, North Dublin nationwide express parcel company now seeks a Depot Sales Manager to develop new business. You will be friendly, hard-working and love the buzz of getting things done. The Depot Sales Manager is responsible for growing the business through new business acquisitions. You will identify opportunities, manage them through the sales cycle, close the business and then manage the account for a period of 6 months to a year ensuring the highest levels of penetration to win all available business and customer service. The customer will then be handed over to the account management team while you continue to hunt more new business. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be a focused new business hunter, hungry to find opportunities and win business to grow your portfolio of customers.
  • Personally identify and develop relationships with senior stakeholders and their colleagues to build short, medium and long-term business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the executive level decision-makers in customers and develop well-grounded account plans to maximise growth.
  • Negotiating annual price increases and driving through additional revenue through upselling and sourcing additional lines of business with current customers.
  • Align with local customer service and operational teams to help them to resolve customer issues as they arise.
  • Meet agreed Sales, Revenue and Gross Margin targets.
  • Set out Quarterly forecasts and plans to reach and exceeding on forecasted revenue.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle to ensure you are continually adding new leads as you close new business.
  • Updating the company CRM on a daily basis to maximise the power of the information available to the business.
  • Producing weekly and monthly service reports

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years proven Key Account Manager/Business Development Manager field sales experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to be a key influencer at senior level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong commercial aptitude with experience and ability to negotiate deals successfully.
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer issues and requirements and to work internally across departments to build solutions.
  • A pro-active “go-getter” with experience of working independently as a self-starter who is hungry for success.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • A true self-starter hungry for success.
  • Computer literate preferably with good experience working with CRM’s, Microsoft Office suite and other software systems as required.
  • Full Driving Licence

Terms: 
Full-time, permanent, office based but you will be on the road most of the week!

Package: 
Up to €50k basic with €73k OTE, company car/allowance, pension and life cover
