A leading national parcel express operator, now seeks applications for the position of Depot Supervisor (Nights) to assist the Depot Manager in overseeing the Sunday - Thursday team (8-10 operators) from 9pm - 6am. The ideal individual will be a proven "People Manager" with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and organising of teams to ensure that operational requirements and service levels are achieved.
- Assist in the training of teams in order to perform in line with their job specification, compliant with company health and safety policy, including (but not limited to) manual handling and fire evacuating procedures.
- Document and report Health and Safety issues in conjunction with company Health and Safety guidelines.
- Oversee use of temporary employees through close monitoring, briefing and motivation to ensure performance criteria is met.
- Assist in the planning of contingencies to minimize business risk and ensure that all requirements are continually met.
- Daily reporting requirements and scheduling as necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience within a Transport, Distribution, Road Freight, Courier or Logistics company.
- Previous people-management experience with a particular emphasis on support, motivation and being the main conduit for issue resolution.
- Problem-solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative, well-organised to prioritize your workload.
- Flexible, can-do attitude approach to work.
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels.

Terms:
Full-time, Permanent, Working hours 12 Midnight to 9am, Sunday - Thursday
