Our client, a well-known food distribution company based in North Dublin, are seeking to hire a distribution manager to join their team to implement distribution plans in order to meet current/future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in line with the Distribution Center goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch of Depot Drivers & Issue of HHT & relevant documentation/messages.
  • Tachograph analysis and management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues.
  • Dealing with general customer enquiries.
  • De-brief drivers on return.
  • Complete team and 1-to-1 meetings as required.
  • Control and monitoring of cancelled and return orders.
  • Assist with quality control of all HR & Training files and documentation.
  • Ensure outstanding documents from Depots and Suppliers are received and resolve any anomalies
  • Purchase Order management for Distribution Department.
  • Working with Distribution Manager ROI as required.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time by management
  • Routing 1 Sunday in 3 (approx.)
  • Collate payroll details as and when requested by the Distribution Manager and send to the payroll vendor in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate and participate in Investigations and Disciplinary meetings.
  • Complete Return to Work interviews for employees returning from Absence.
  • Complete Distribution centre attendance report daily.
  • Participate in Recruitment of staff.

 

Minimum requirements:

Essential;

  • Strong business acumen and commercially aware with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong logistical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • IT literacy and an Advance knowledge of MS Office -Excel, Access, VBA, Routing software and Power Bi.
  • Class C License, DCPC Card & Digital Tacho Card.
  • You are eligible to work fulltime in Ireland.

Desirable;

  • A relevant diploma or degree or at least 3 years prior work experience in planning and/or shipping business.
  • Poses or working towards Certificate of Professional Competency
  • Second European Language ideally - Polish, Lithuanian or Russian

 

Terms:

Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 7pm  OR 5.30am – 2pm

A high degree of flexibility will be required.

 

Package:

€47,000-€52,000 (DOE)
