A transport company based in County Louth now has a requirement for an experienced Route Planner. This will be an independent and responsible role so experience is essential.
General Duties and Repsonsibitlies
- Planning routes for deliveries and schedules for drivers .
- Communicating with drivers to monitor route progress and manage changes.
- Liaising with different departments and Customers to assist in traffic queries.
- Directing all transportation routes
- Planning and costing of jobs
- Keeping drivers compliant with drivers' hours
- Organising loads and return loads throughout Europe
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-2 years in the Transport-distribution industry working in the area of route planing
- Strong attention to detail and good all-round organisation.
- The ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- IT literacy and a working knowledge of MS Office.
- Hands-on approach
Terms: Monday-Friday role with occasional flexibility required for some weekends.
Package: Generous salary on offer of circa €40-€45,000 depending on your experience
