European Road Freight Forwarder

An experienced European Road Freight Operator is now required by a North Dublin road freight forwarding specialist. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced European Road Freight Operator with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience within the local market. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end road freight operations across Europe, planning import and export groupage trailers, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate European road freight shipments, ensuring all bookings are handled efficiently.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and suppliers to arrange transportation, providing regular updates on shipment status.
• Monitor and manage freight costs, ensuring profitability on all routes and deliveries.
• Handle customs documentation and ensure compliance with European regulations.
• Manage and resolve any operational issues or delays in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Negotiate rates with hauliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective transport solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all freight movements in Azyra.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years' recent experience planning European groupage trailer movements and road freight operations in the local market.
• Strong knowledge of European road freight regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
• Proven ability to manage shipments from start to finish, including liaising with carriers and customers.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Azyra and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fluency in English.
