Position: European Road Freight Forwarder Import / Export
Location: Dublin North
Contract: Full-time permanent (Office based)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day running and direct assistance of European operations team to ensure all transactions are processed timely and accurately in line with company procedures and expectations.
  • Handle and update EDI from agents, checking and updating agents for any requirements that they may have and need to adhere too. Manage relations and services with existing partners and further identify and bring new opportunities:
  • To maintain and facilitate good working relations with agents, update them with consistent information and build a good repour with our agents
  • To ensure up-to-date and accurate information for our customers with good planning and organising of timely deliveries/collections
  • Review new agent opportunities and make recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Ensure correct procedures are agreed and implemented for the management of business requirements, in particular, collections all over mainland Europe and to ensure they are followed up and cargo is loaded without problems
  • Agree, where required, specific pricing or services, full loads/part loads / miscellaneous
  • Be proficient at loading containers, maximising loading and attention to detail is key

Suitable candidate should have the following:

  • Proven record in European planning and freight forwarding with at least 5 years’ experience
  • To be a good team player and to want to grab hold of an exciting opportunity for a growing company
  • Excellent Knowledge in Excel, preferably Azyra freight system also would be a bonus
  • Team player & problem solver is key
  • Excellent communications skills, written & verbal
  • Excellent numerical skill

Salary: €40,000 - €55,000 per year
