Forwarding Pricing Specialist, Dublin North
The role is responsible for collating accurate sea freight, road freight and air freight pricing, tender requests originating from sales, account management and operations. The jobholder will produce high-quality tender responses to ‘Request for Quotations’ and ‘Request for Proposals’ from both existing and/or new clients. Ultimately, the role will help win new business and retain existing customers through tender proposals process
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for managing the responses relating to client ‘Request for Quotations’/Proposals (RFQs & RFPs) and to support with ‘Request for Information’ (RFIs) when required
- Proactively generating pricing solutions that are competitive in the marketplace
- Request, collect and compile pricing reports.
- Provide feedback and consultation to the key internal stakeholders regarding client pricing formats, requirements, supporting data, etc.
- Review the RFQs / RFPs to identify and record the required actions and action owners
- Liaison with the bid owner and all of the various business field(s) and key stakeholders to define the pricing strategy
- Work with the Bid Owner to determine logistics pricing solutions and quantify the value savings in the bid proposal
- Constantly review the overall process surrounding tender responses and recommend system and process enhancements to the Pricing and Tender Manager. Responsibility for any subsequent change management projects
Requirements
- 1-3 years of pricing and/or logistics related experience within the Freight Forwarding industry in Europe.
- Industry experience in pricing
- Working knowledge of current airfreight pricing structures
- IT literate
- Demonstrable advanced working knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, macros, etc)
- Excellent mathematics comprehension
- Project Management Experience.
- Able to thrive in time-sensitive situations
