Freight Admin Team Leader required for a Global 3PL (Freight and Logistics company) based on North Dublin. This role requires Admin experience in Operations and Finance control.

Role Summary:

TheAdmin Team Leader will take responsibility for the day to day running of the back office in a busy freight department. The individual will work extremely closely with the Operations Manager - Ireland and will be key/lead for all financial and administrative issues. This will involve ensuring activity data is accurately captured so as to permit vendor payments to be logged and released in addition to the time and accurate invoicing to our customers. A large part of the role will revolve around compliance, ensuring appropriate checks

Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership to the IE based Admin Team  
  • Ensuring vendors paid to agreed terms and queries swiftly and professional resolved
  • Ensuring invoicing to customers is timely and accurate and queries swiftly and professional resolved
  • Lead month end closure process with customers  
  • Ensuring consistent application of agreed working practices
  • Adhering to all company and legal financial controls are adhered to
  • Challenging existing working practices and methods to find better ways of working
  • Building strong relationships with customers and vendors
  • Providing accurate and timely business financial reports on operational and financial performance updates to customers and internal customers
  • Supplier and Vendor reconciliation
  • Support customer reviews and working groups from a finance/admin perspective
  • Working remotely with colleagues in UK head office to deliver requirement business objectives
  • Debt management  

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Accounting courses

Essential Experience:

  • AP & AR experience
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Query generation/investigation/resolution
  • Previous finance ledger experience
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft office programs (esp. Excel)

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience with SAP / Freight management systems
  • Experience of working in a freight environment (Air/Ocean/Rail)  
  • Exposure to dealing with overseas vendor

Terms:   Permanent, Full-time. (Monday to Friday, 9 - 5:00 pm)
