
An established Transportation company based in South Dublin, is currently seeking a Freight Coordinator Agent to join their team. The job will be varied but will focus mainly on the day-to-day road freight UK – Ireland and Ireland to UK operation whilst developing new and maintaining existing supplier and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain constant communication with customers and hauliers through phone and email to ensure top-notch logistics services.
- Handle client bookings and efficiently allocate orders through the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Maintain meticulous document control, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all shipping and freight documentation.
- Calculate costs and negotiate rates as necessary.
- Problem-solving skills and devise solutions on short notice, even in exceptional circumstances.
- Demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills under pressure, consistently meeting customer demands and expectations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent, with prior experience in logistics/freight.
- Preferable 1 year of experience in UK or European road freight operations within the Irish market.
- Familiarity with transport documentation and an understanding of truck movements and freight systems.
- Proficiency in PC skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Time-conscious, task-driven, and results-oriented.
Be flexible and prepared to take on additional tasks and interdepartmental duties as assigned by management, which may extend beyond the regular job scope.
Terms:
Full-time, permanent, office-based.
