A leading logistics provider now requires an experienced Freight Forwarder on a permanent basis. This position involves working in the freight department, processing customs declarations, and organising customer import/export shipments to global destinations. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a number of key Customer Accounts with KPIs and performance reporting.
  • Proactively liaise with customers, suppliers and partners to ensure a high-quality service.
  • Dealing with customer queries in a professional manner.
  • Issuing customer quotations & conversions into bookings.
  • Application of customer rates, supplier charges and invoicing.
  • Maintain good working practices while proactively identifying continuous improvements that will offer customers with an enhanced service.
  • Flexible and hands-on approach to prioritising duties and achieving deadlines
  • Other ad-hoc and admin duties as required
  • Ensuring excellent customer service is always delivered
  • Customs Clearance 

Skills Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Previous experience in European Road freight an advantage
  • Customs Experience an advantage
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Packages
  • Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone
  • Fluent English both written and spoken essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
