Our client is a leading distributor of specialised construction-related products based in Louth. They are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team. The role primarily involves arranging for the distribution in Ireland of wood-based products from European group companies. The successful candidate will also assist the Logistics Manager and occasionally assist with Customer Service. This company is located a distance from public transport so own transport will be required.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan customer loads using the ERP system.
  • Arrange for the distribution of loads by the nominated transport partners.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer service department.
  • Assist with Warehouse Management (optimise space, product presentation/packaging improvement, organize work in conjunction with 3rd party providers.)
  • Assist with Stock control & Order placement.
  • Maintain the flow of relevant information within the organization.
  • Approve transport invoices.
  • Liaise with group companies in Spain and Portugal.
  • Order placement.
  • Agreeing on delivery schedules with customers
  • Assist with general customer queries.
Requirements:
  • Min of 2 years similar logistics experience
  • 3rd Level Qualification or industry certification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, JE Edwards etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • A "Can-Do" work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is beneficial
  • Own transport as the business location is not readily accessible via public transport connections.
