This rapidly expanding manufacturing facility is looking for a Management and Cost Accountant for maternity leave cover (12-18 mts)

Duties:

  • Supporting the completion of monthly close process with wider finance team and related analysis and commentary for distribution as required to Accounting Manager.
  • Sales Reporting, including Forecasting, analysis, and commissions calculations.
  • Assist Accounting Manager with reporting of daily KPIs to plant manager, metrics covering margin analysis, overhead absorption, labour usage and efficiency reporting with operations weekly.
  • Responsible for processing of payroll journals and payroll accruals and related queries with internal and external payroll providers, monitoring actual payroll spend as part of labour efficiency calculations and explanations.
  • Responsible for calculation and processing of accruals, prepayments, and other journal entries as required to a tight deadline.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of Fixed Assets ensuring additions, disposals and depreciation is calculated correctly including control of the Fixed Assets capex projects, ensuring backup approvals in place and reports sent monthly to project owners on Approved V Actual Spend.
  • Assist in Preparation of annual budget and work with departments to monitor and control spend and provide variance analysis to actuals monthly for management review.
  • Preparation of Bi- monthly VAT, VIES and Interstat returns and annual Return of Trading details.
  • Assist Accounts Payable in the coding of invoices by department and in line with budget expectations.
  • Supports Annual Inventory Count and Cycle Counts as required.
  • Recommends, updates, and writes policies and procedures reflective of sound accounting principles and practices
  • Preparation of CSO Returns as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, or related field of study, plus at least a minimum of three years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with costing experience a distinct advantage.
  • Must be able to navigate processes in ERP systems and standard applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

Fulltime, (Maternity leave contract) 12-18mts
