Mechanic - Meath

€40,000 + Overtime + Annual Bonus

A specialist vehicle maintenance service provider is seeking a full-time experienced Mechanic to work in their Workshop in Meath. The role would be suitable for a Motor Mechanic with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a busy garage or similar environment. The work will involve repair and maintenance of specialist vehicles and equipment.


  • Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
  • Liaise with agents and manufacturers on problems to achieve an efficient repair.
  • Complete all documentation and receipts, including inspection sheets, as appropriate
  • Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advise the service manager
  • Undertake required training
  • Complete work schedule within a realistic time.
  • Liaise with clients to determine their automotive requirements and communicate vehicular defects or problems
  • Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of any issues
  • Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested
  • Keep an accurate log of all work performed
  • Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition
  • Adhere to company work safety policies

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years working as a Mechanic / Auto Electrician in a similar environment
  • B Driving Licence (Required)
  • Diagnosis: 3 years (Preferred)
  • HGV: 3 years (Preferred)
  • A reasonable degree of fitness
  • The ability to work as part of a team or alone without instruction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong organisational skills and a deep level of concentration.
  • A methodical nature with outstanding attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in motor vehicles.
  • The capacity to work to deadlines.
