A specialist vehicle maintenance service provider is seeking a full time experienced Mobile Service Engineer to cover the Armagh, Fermanagh, and Tyrone area. The role would be suitable for a Motor Mechanic with Auto Electrical experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience required working in a busy garage or similar environment. The work will involve repair and maintenance of specialist vehicles and equipment through a mobile service.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles and plant
- Repair parts and equipment when needed
- Order for parts and equipment as necessary
- Liaise with agents and manufacturers on problems to achieve an efficient repair.
- Complete all documentation and receipts, including inspection sheets, as appropriate
- Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advise the service manager
- Undertake required training
- Complete work schedule within a realistic time.
- Participate in an On-call Rota on a rotational basis
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years working as a Mechanic / Auto Electrician in a similar environment
- Full clean drivers’ licence (Category B)
- A reasonable degree of fitness
- The ability to work as part of a team or alone without instruction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with colleagues and customers.
- Strong organisational skills and a deep level of concentration.
- A methodical nature with outstanding attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in motor vehicles.
- The capacity to work to deadlines.
Type:
Permanent, Full time, Monday-Friday
