
A long-established global company now seeks to hire an Ocean Freight Operator for their new Irish office based in Dublin 18. This is a permanent role working normalised office hours and the role is site based. You will join a small, experienced team of Logistics and Commercial professionals where you will play a key role in supporting the Sales and Logistics functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Follow-up ocean freight shipments, update SAP with ETA and update 3PL on vessel arrival.
- Coordination of material release to client with 3PL / warehouse in Rotterdam.
- Price upload in SAP weekly/monthly basis to impact on the invoices.
- Invoice issuance from SAP as per material release.
- Communication with client for each release of material, sending necessary paperwork.
- Update SAP with shipments and trade movements.
- Follow-up communication regarding ocean freight shipments to non-NAM.
- Cargo Insurance issuance for non-NAM ocean freight shipments as well as for truck shipments in Europe.
- Support management with monthly Inventory Report.
- Support with courier requests.
Key requirements include:
- Minimum 1-2 years in ocean shipments coordination.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Business (preferred)
- Right to work in the EU without restriction.
- Organized, self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and have a strong attention to detail.
- SAP (MM and S&D) experience is desirable but not essential
Terms:
Full-time, Permanent, Normal Office Hours and Site Based
Package:
€35,000 basic, performance-based bonus and benefits
