The client is a fast-growing fulfilment company based in Kilkenny specializing in providing efficient and reliable order fulfilment services to a diverse range of clients. They are committed to exceeding clients' expectations through streamlined operations and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced Operational Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team and drive business growth by managing and nurturing key client relationships.

As the Operational Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for 3-4 large accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring the smooth execution of operations for these key clients. This role is crucial in their pursuit of client satisfaction and business expansion. You will need to combine excellent account management, logistics coordination, and strategic planning skills to achieve and exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Key Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Understand the client's business goals, needs, and expectations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all client inquiries and concerns.
  • Regularly review account performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Align clients' expectations with operational capability and visa versa.

Operational Excellence:

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations for key accounts.
  • Ensure all products and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Resolve operational issues and client complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes and enhance service delivery.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within key accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive dynamics to make informed recommendations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze key account data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on account performance and KPIs.
  • Use data insights to make informed decisions and drive improvements.

Contract and Compliance Management:

  • Ensure all contracts and agreements with key accounts are up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements.
  • Manage the negotiation of new contracts and contract renewals.

Project Management:

  • Liaise between clients and operations for any project.
  • Align operational capacity with the client’s requirements.
  • Setup with the client of projects on the in-house system
  • Pricing of Projects
  • Liaise with operations to ensure that all project-related transactions are completed on the system.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in key account management, preferably in operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

Terms: 
Fulltime, permanent, normalised office hours, site-based role

Package: 
€60-65,000 OTE + Benefits
