A well-established freight company, based in Dublin 15, is seeking a dynamic and proactive operations supervisor to join the team. You will play a crucial role in managing the import and export of consignments, coordinating with Irish sub-contractors and international agents, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Efficiently manage the import and export processes of general cargo and personal effects consignment movements internationally via Air, Ocean, Rail and Road Freight.
- Completion of Customs clearance and TOR’s.
- Collaborate closely with local subcontractors and international agents to ensure smooth operations.
- Organize and schedule on-site and remote surveys in coordination with clients and subcontractors.
- Facilitate effective communication between site crews, drivers, and clients to deliver comprehensive service.
- Handle inbound inquiries via telephone and email promptly and professionally.
- Maintain seamless day-to-day operations, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Actively pursue new leads to expand our client base.
- Provide regular progress updates to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years multimodal operations experience in freight forwarding
- Experience managing multinational contracts
- Strength in the delivery of excellent customer service, particularly over the telephone.
- Strong interpersonal aptitude, coupled with adept problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and computer operations, with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Self-motivated individual with a positive outlook and unwavering dedication
- Strong IT skills i.e. FMS, MS Office etc.
- This role will require a full clean Irish Driving License
Terms:
Full-time permanent, office-based, normal office hours
Package:
€40,000 - €45,000 depending on experience
