Quality Assurance Engineer

 

Our client, a leading metal fabrication, machining and tooling manufacturer are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing team based in Shannon.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Maintaining and updating the Quality management system, QMS, documentation /records/systems
Driving process efficiency, resolving/providing feedback on issues
Conducting and reporting on internal audits as per the annual schedule and closing out of any non-conformances that arise
Analyzing, identifying, and implementing manufacturing and/or business process improvements that will improve capability performance
Assisting engineering teams on product/process verification for new and existing products.
Running CAPA systems and all related tasks. Lead quality problem investigations using proven quality tools.
Assist with operating and maintaining calibration systems.
Managing and coordinating of various quality-related projects and quality aspects of production programs
Provide quality support to operations, including leading and supporting root cause driven approaches to problem-solving efforts for quality issues
Developing and implementing quality controls for a new and existing product
Work individually and within teams on various Quality improvement and efficiency projects
Provide ongoing communication through reports and information transfer as needed


Professional Experience & Qualifications

 

Degree in Engineering/equivalent technical qualification and/or sufficient industry experience required
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or environment and have a good working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Experience in Production part approval process, PPAP’s, would be advantageous
New Product Introduction, (NPI), desirable
Experience in an FMCG, fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment with demonstrable and transferable skills is desirable but not essential.
Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills
