A world-leading specialist food company located in West Cork is looking for a Raw Materials Planner. This is an excellent opportunity with a great package of benefits on offer for the right candidate to become a part of a global team.  
  
Responsibilities:

Raw Material Stock Management:


•    Creating and maintaining purchase orders to meet production needs.
•    Maintain stock levels in line with targets and other parameters such as MOQs/EOQs.
•    Routinely review demand versus supply identifying and communicating supply risks.
•    Follow assigned contracted volumes to maintain allocations by supplier.
•    Provide forecasts to suppliers as appropriate.

Systems, MRP & KPIs


•    Establish & maintain planning parameters in the SAP MRP system.
•    Support to Upstream Material Manager on preparation of Monthly MRP submission.
•    Contribute to the development of short, medium, and long-term business plans and contingencies.
•    Manage relations with suppliers and maintain KPIs.
•    Maintain supplier contact information.
•    Invoice query resolution.

 

Professional Experience & Qualifications 

•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry.
•    MRP understanding and working knowledge of one or more integrated ERP systems.
•    SAP experience advantageous but not essential.
•    Material or Production Planning experience is mandatory.
•    Relevant Third Level qualification.
•    Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, particularly Excel where a high level of expertise is required.
•    Proficient numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
•    Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
