A Major Irish Transportation, Logistics and Warehousing company, providing services to several major national and multi-national clients, is seeking several experienced Counter Balance or Turret Truck Driver Day shifts – Borrisoliegh,Tipperary. The successful applicants will be responsible for scanning and offloading inbound and outbound freight, house-keeping and general transit terminal activity. Please note, there is the option of conversion training to Narrow Aisle Turret Truck for an experienced , Licensed, Counter-balance driver
Responsibilities:
- Scanning and offloading of inbound freight and ensuring all out turns are complete.
- Scanning and loading all outbound freight.
- Handle all freight with care to ensure zero damages.
- Ensure Company Health and Safety standards are always followed.
- General housekeeping within the department.
- Perform other adhoc duties are required.
- Ensure Transit Terminal is kept clean and tidy.
- Previous experience handling hazardous freight would be a distinct advantage.
- Understand your department’s action plans and support the goals and targets set out by your manager.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced transit terminal environment.
- Counter Balance Forklift licence essential
- Knowledge of freight scanning is a distinct advantage.
- Manual Handling Certified.
- Qualify Focused.
- Basic IT skills.
- A 'can do' customer focused attitude.
