This is a global player in freight forwarding with a strong presence in Cork. They're looking to add a dedicated Sales person to their close-knit team so this is a genuine opportunity to run with an existing business and make it your own. This role requires a person who can display demonstrable leadership skills, strategic thinking with an innovative mindset and can influence at senior management, customer, and key stakeholder levels.
Role:
- Business Development
- Develop new and existing business opportunities
- Develop and maintain a high-quality pipeline of target customers and opportunities
- Support the national Internal Sales Team where necessary to generate quotations
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activity via CRM Tool
- Identifying and evaluating prospects to win new business, primary focus on Air/Ocean shipments.
- Identifying new opportunities with existing customers
- Conducting market research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests
- Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective
- Support the Quality Team to ensure that security procedures are in line with the Air Cargo Security Program
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ freight forwarding experience (Multi Modal preferred)
- Proven commercial experience in supplier/customer management and development
- Proven & successful business development experience in the freight marketplace
- Customer focus with a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Terms:
Full time, permanent.
Package:
€65,000 - €75,000
