This company is one of Ireland's success stories and they're looking to bolster their team with an experienced, professional Supply Chain Manager with a focus on exports.

 

The Role:

  • Build strong relationships with customers and distributors and establish business review meetings with strategic customer accounts
  • Ensure readiness for new business development opportunities through cross-functional work with the rest of the Supply Chain department
  • Manage 3PL warehouse and logistics providers and lead monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • Build a 3-year plan for transport and logistics providers
  • Develop logistics and 3PL tenders 
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
  • Develop best in class scorecard measurements for all logistics partners that will drive continuous improvements
  • Oversee the fulfillment of customer orders on time and in full
  • Ensure that the export team updates customers on their orders at all times as per incoterms 
  • Establish monthly meetings with strategic customers identifying any improvements to serve
  • Manage Transport and 3PL partners and establish service level agreements and best terms
  • Oversee SalesForce and develop procedures and policies for the handling of customer correspondence and customer complaints by working with the Quality function.
  • Develop strategies to increase the quality and efficiency of support to customers.
  • Monitor business and process metrics to measure and manage customer service effectiveness.
  • Lead supply chain projects supporting changes to route to market that will support business strategy

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years FMCG experience in a leadership position
  • Experience in a customer-facing role dealing in a multi-cultural environment
  • Highly skilled in export procedures, customs, freight forwarding and 3PL operations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Customer-first attitude, driving results through others to achieve best in class service levels
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Third level qualification in business, management or logistics.
  • Experience in international/global supply chain management
  • Innovative and creative; driven towards leading the business forward
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications
  • Flexibility to travel as required
