Dublin North based Road Freight Forwarder now seeks an experienced Road Freight Forwarder for their busy forwarding team.
The role:
- The successful candidate will be a vital role in the movement of the import and export of goods.
- The candidate must have between 3-5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding position.
- Require strong customer service orientation, highly motivated, with strong business acumen and sound interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) Azyra experience advantage.
- Continuous professional development and ongoing training provided.
The job description for the role is as follows:
- Liaise with overseas partners to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance
- Delivery and collection scheduling and dealing with Hauliers/subcontractors and third party
- Day to day operations to include dealing with customers/customs clearance/invoicing/creditors invoices/customer & other reports/other administration duties
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the role to ensure full ownership
- Deal with all customer phone sales and/or customer queries
- Establish a good working relationship with the shipping department and customers
- Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that departments run efficiently and with professionalism
- Managing your performance via Key Performance Indicators as discussed with your manager
- Promote company positively within customers premises through high quality of work, excellent communication, pro-active approach and positive attitude
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required by senior manager
- Taking and processing bookings according to company procedures
- Organising transport adhering to the customers’ requirements
- Rate negotiations
- Tracking and tracing
- Problem-solving and crisis management
- Communications with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
