Remote Working

Our client, a leading global, multi-modal logistics provider, is currently seeking a business development person with knowledge in shipping & freight forwarding and a proven track record in sales. This is a remote role where you will be expected to visit clients from time to time.

The client is looking for new talent that can achieve profitable results and contribute to the sustainable growth of our Irish business. Are you the skilful addition we are looking for? As a sales executive, your primary goal is to drive growth and generate new business for the Irish trade market. You will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio. You are our commercial point of contact for clients that have questions. Your challenge? Realising profitable results.

You will Be Adding Value By:

  • Generating sales leads by making sales calls proactively and confidently.
  • Managing accounts for existing clients and related general administrative work.
  • Visting and meeting clients and perspective clients face-2-face
  • Handling and solving client complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining close contact with the clients in your portfolio.
  • Developing and implementing a sales plan to enlarge our portfolio of clients.
  • You know that finding quality leads can be a challenge, but you are ambitious enough to take on that challenge.
  • You are forward-thinking and know-how to communicate confidently with people at all levels.
  • Your hunting skills are beneficial in identifying opportunities where our services can fit with potential new clients.
  • As a quick learner, you can easily adapt to changing client needs.
  • Planning and organising are in your DNA, and you know how to negotiate effectively with clients to generate new business.
  • Several years’ experience in sales, preferably in the short sea shipping or transport industry.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent skills with MS Office software.

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • A problem-solver who can offer unique solutions to resolve issues or to attract new business
  • Strong communication skills for relationship building and maintenance Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in logistics or a commercial business discipline.
  • At least two years’ experience in sales, preferably in the short sea shipping or transport sector.
  • Strong PC & administration skills.

Full time, permanent, remote working

€40,000 - €60,000 per year (DOE), Company car, Laptop, phone, 23 days annual leave, Health & Medical insurance.
