The Sales Executive is responsible for assisting with the day to day Sales operation, within our Freight Forwarding departments. The Sales Executive will proactively assist with the procuring of Rates, quoting customer’s and following up with same. Any other administrative duties, working with the Freight Forwarding Team
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contacting suppliers (ocean, air, road) and negotiating rates.
- Position will also include a lower volume of Road & Air Freight Forwarding.
- Issuing quotations and managing customer accounts.
- Efficient resolution of operational problems/invoice queries
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and potential clients
- Assist where required as part of the Freight Forwarding Team
- Invoicing, filing and general administrative duties.
Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience in freight
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Customs Experience an advantage
- Proficient in all Microsoft Packages
- Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone
- Fluent English both written and spoken essential
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
