Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager


FMCG omnichannel business are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Head of Warehouse and Logistics to join our team based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse manager to join an innovative company with exciting plans to grow the business further

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust operations solution and warehouse strategy to ensure optimum use of available space and stock flows in and out of the warehouse and which meets the ambitious growth plans of the business.
  • Lead projects to drive efficiencies around stock, fulfilment, supply chain, receiving, space and dispatch.
  • Management of the End-to-End supply chain planning for the warehouse to ensure that capacity requirements are effective, planned and scheduled. Partnering with Buying and Finance to create a fully integrated Supply Chain which is supported by optimised business processes and systems
  • Design, monitor and report weekly and monthly on critical performance indicators, including achievement of agreed warehouse budget, cycle counts, stock takes, health and safety and performance of 3rd parties e.g. couriers for all our stores, restaurants and support functions across the business.
  • Work closely with the Head of Retail and Ecommerce to ensure effective omnichannel processes and solutions are in place catering for these parts of the business.
  • Management of Stock / Inventory levels on site based on agreed clear and meaningful metrics working closely with buying. Identify supply quality and delivery issues and recommend appropriate and effective mitigation actions.
  • Oversee accurate inventory management through effective use of cycle counting and other stock control measures.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with courier services and freight forwarders, developing and maintaining service level agreement. Review agreements annual with external providers that they are in line with budget and agreed sla’s.
  • Drive a culture of team development and performance through regular 1 to 1, asking for feedback, probation check-ins, annual reviews and development plans
  • Regularly carry out a review of all logistics and transport services to ensure that Kilkenny is getting best value for money
  • Work closely with buying to ensure suppliers are adhering to our process and managed on a continuous bases.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in supply chain operations including warehouse and logistics
  • FMCG experience an advantage
  • Within that, a minimum of 5 years at a managerial level is required.
  • Understanding and insight into the Retail Sector will be an advantage. 
  • Project delivery experience will be an advantage
  • Proven management skills in planning/implementing/monitoring/evaluating & delivery
  • Excellent warehouse operations leadership experience, including team management and growth.
  • Strong supply chain experience, including design and implementation of improved methodologies.
  • Strong P&L and budgetary management experience.
