Position: Service Manager (With Italian)

Reason for Role:
Our client has recently signed a major contract with Italy's largest freight network, in an exclusive deal for Ireland. We are now looking to hire an Italian Service Manager to efficiently manage and expand this critical business partnership.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of freight services between Ireland and Italy. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Commercially Driven Freight Operator:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the commercial aspects of the Ireland-Italy freight operations.
  • Identify growth opportunities and revenue streams within the Italian market.

Customer Collections Management:

  • Oversee and manage collection requests from Irish customers for collections in Italy.
  • Ensure timely and efficient collection processes.

Business Development:

  • Actively seek and generate new business opportunities from Italy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Italian clients and partners.

Network Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Italian network to facilitate collections in Italy and deliveries in Ireland.
  • Utilize the bespoke IT system of the Italian network to update and track delivery information.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Liaise with other internal departments to cross-sell services and provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to follow up on leads and assist in generating more bookings.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Italian is mandatory to effectively communicate with Italian clients and partners.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar managerial position within the freight and logistics industry is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in arranging imports and exports is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and international partners.
  • Exceptional people management abilities to lead and motivate a team.
  • A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Salary: The salary range for this position is €50,000 to €60,000 per year (DOE)
