Thriving FMCG producer now seeks a Site Production Manager to ensure the smooth running of their state-of-the-art facility in North Dublin. The purpose of the role is to provide strong leadership and management to the Production and Logistics Teams.  Ensuring delivery of an effective and efficient service for our client's customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively support and input into the company's Operations Business Plan and Annual Budget planning process where required, including the development and implementation of an Operational and Customer Excellence Strategy which delivers growth and profitability targets, and define and implement clear operational goals and activities for themselves and their teams aligned to the plans.
  • To manage the financial performance and volume of the operation to ensure the achievement/maximization of the Operations monthly, quarterly, and annual growth and profitability financial targets, including labour, waste, and hiring costs in the depot.
  • To be fully responsible and accountable for leading and managing the Operational teams for the sites to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual growth and profitability targets, including building performance through excellent people management/leadership skills and practices.
  • Developing, monitoring, actioning, and regular review of workforce requirements for the Operational Teams to meet short- and medium-term business needs and requirements.
  • Ensuring effective communication flows are developed and maintained within and across their teams, ensuring all staff are well informed and feel that their views and inputs are listened to.
  • Participating in recruitment, selection and induction of direct reports, and involvement in recruitment within the Operational Teams, against agreed role criteria, to ensure that the right people are selected into the right positions for their abilities and skills and are appropriately supported during the probationary period.
  • Regularly reviews with their Production and Logistics leaders, team performance achievements against growth and profitability targets, KPI's, operational and customer delivery.
  • Effectively manages the performance of their direct reports to ensure they can deliver the requirements of their job role, and for future progression, through providing; appropriate support, guidance, coaching and development, and undertaking effective performance reviews.
  • To assist the Assistant General Manager, and General Manager in the retention of staff and growth of customers.
  • Ensures that the Customer is of main focus at all times in relation to Operational and Logistics performance, including on time delivery, quality and customer feedback.
  • Liaise with the Assistant General Manager, Systems Manager and other company managers, along with other support functions to identify/discuss performance improvements in financial, operational and customer excellence delivery.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements, in review with the Assistant General Manager, interventions/activities/process and procedure changes to the operational delivery of their team, in order to develop operational and customer excellence and to incorporate changes arising from policy, legislative and industry changes.
  • Promotes, monitors, and maintains an environment and culture that improves Health, Safety, Quality and Security with their teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent.
  • Approx. 5-6 years relevant Logistics, Warehousing and Site management Experience - excellent operational and industry knowledge.
  • Approx. 2-3 years' of strong people management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent relationship building skills both internally and with suppliers and customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills - ability to understand the customer requirements in order that operation's solutions meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience of budget KPI management and delivering to targets.
  • Computer literate, with intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience preferably in FMCG, / Fresh Produce Industry would be advantageous

Package:
€45,000- €55,000
