Our client, a well-established distributor of high-end technology, is seeking to recruit an experienced stockroom assistant to join their team based in Dublin 12. The role would involve carrying out tasks that would assist in the day-to-day stock management which would in-turn support the sales, retail, logistics and management teams.


Duties and responsibilities:
• Working in collaboration with department teams, stock administrator(s), retail & stockroom teams, and the Fulfilment Manager daily
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with an electric stacker
• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse
• Taking goods to the appropriate storage space – using loading and lifting gear for heavy goods
• Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly
• Receiving and processing warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Performing inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keeping a clean and safe working environment and optimising space utilisation
• Reporting any discrepancies
• Communicating and co-operating with supervisors and co-workers
• Operating and maintaining preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Following quality service standards and complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Operating an electric stacker to move and rearrange stock and ensuring that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely
• Picking orders from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.
• Putting products into containers, such as boxes and crates, using bubble wrap, and then sealing the containers ready for delivery to shops and stores.
• Ensuring orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders.
• Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse is part of the daily routine.
• Comply with company and legislative Environment, Health, and Safety requirements


Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to prioritize and proactively manage workload, and solve problems
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail, with good communication skills
• Proven working experience as a warehouse operative
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Use of email is a requirement, knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Numbers a distinct advantage
• Leaving cert or equivalent level of education
• Experience with SAP (desirable)


Terms:
Full time – onsite
40-hour week (Mon-Fri 9-6pm)
Occasional Saturday work 


Package:
€11.50p/h
