Position: Transport Planner
Location: Dublin City
Long-established and respected city centre-based Freight Forwarder now seeks an experienced Transport Planner with a successful history within the freight industry. Working in a demanding and dynamic environment, this will be a great opportunity for the right person. Job Purpose:
The Transport Planner is responsible for the overall day-to-day transport scheduling of transports through Belfast, Cork and Dublin Ports.
Main Duties:
- Responsibility for the preparation of daily transport scheduling via each of the three ports.
- Ensuring that the transports are made in a timely manner to achieve the best possible efficiencies.
- Clear and accurate communication with customers, drivers, and other operators within the company.
Key Attributes:
- Transport/Logistics experience
- Computer literate and experience of IT systems.
- Flexible to work within a team in an office environment.
- Problem-solving skills, and good written and oral English
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
Terms: Permanent/ Full Time, Office base role
Package: €35,000 - €40,000
