Role Summary:

Our client is looking to hire a Value Stream Manager, to manage the Supply Chain function and be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of two logistic operations. The role holder will have responsibility for transforming the operation of two busy warehouses with 200,000 sq feet of Warehouse. The role holder will have the management of numerous direct reports within the Value Stream.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Prepare and execute a supply chain strategy for the value stream for the company and their customers
  • Assist in the development and improvement of all planning solutions and warehousing operations and source additional storage facilities – if and when required.
  • Work closely with the warehouse management ensuring the supplier management processes are in operation and running efficiently.
  • Take ownership of any supply chain activities within the workstream and ensure best practice approach is developed to meet our customers needs.
  • Prepare and manage the budget, maintaining control over costs and operate within headcount
  • Responsible for creating and analysing KPI’s for the Value Stream.
  • Implement company processes in line with all GDP and regulatory compliance internally and with our external service providers.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a large Supply Chain environment
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Advanced Intrapersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to deliver reporting structures at a high level
  • Critical Thinking – prepared to challenge and impact what is non-value added
  • High energy, enthusiastic individual who welcomes challenge and the ability to deliver through others

Education:

  • Educated to degree standard in a business / supply chain / logistics discipline
  • People management / Supervision experience with a minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in in a people management role within freight / logistics or supply chain environment
