Warehouse Manager, North Dublin

A well-established independent Freight Forwarding Group now requires an experienced Warehouse Manager. This role arises due to promotion and offers an already established team with a positive attitude and a good environment.

Standard office hours, Monday to Friday. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, cost and budgetary compliance, customer satisfaction and ultimately profitability across all business units.
  • Organise and carry out shift functions and requests from the senior management team as required.
  • Manage the internal and external relationship between this site and other SEABRIDGE operations including UK operations and Customs Clearance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to review all monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Analysis of performance across all services including costs, margins and profitability and actioning any issues/queries arising from these reports.
  • All warehouse security processes to be maintained.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted and completed in a professional and business-like manner with appropriate levels of personnel and maximum utilisation of resources.
  • Ensure warehouses and yards are in line with good housekeeping.
  • Measuring and cubing freight arriving at the warehouse and amending the paperwork accordingly.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of managing of staff is achieved.
  • To be involved in any task that may be required to improve the utilisation, or service improvements of the operation.

Minimum Requirements and skills:

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Management or Supervisor position within the Irish or UK Market.   
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Need to be able to work on own initiative

Terms:        Full-time, Permanent.

Salary:        Negotiable depending on experience
