The primary objectives of the position are to manage all operational activity, achieving targets within agreed budgets and providing the highest quality service through processes and procedures.

Responsibility 

  • Responsible to ensure your team are trained to the necessary standards.
  • Constantly looking for improvements and projects in the Warehouse to improve quality, service and cost.
  • Manage Goods Inwards, supervise order fulfilment and goods outwards
  • Responsible to ensure your team are trained to the necessary standards.
  • Coordination with administration with respect to intake and deliveries to internal/external customers
  • Stock control for the area including cycle counts and stock counts
  • Develop and implement meaningful warehouse KPIs and report same each day/week at relevant meetings
  • Management and motivation of Warehouse staff to ensure high performance and engaged team, - including cross training, holidays schedule & management of time & attendance system.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S & Company policies & procedures including employment legislation, H&S legislation and quality regs.
  • Mentoring and coaching of staff in best warehouse practices
  • Build relationships with all stakeholders of the business, i.e., Customers, Operations, Finance, Quality, and third-party logistics

 Requirements

  • Experience of successfully leading a warehouse team.
  • Demonstrated IT skills i.e. ERP systems, Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst paying strict attention to detail
  • Lean six sigma qualification is desirable in addition to a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ideally 5 years working in a FMCG/Food environment
  • Proven experience in managing a FMCG warehouse
  • Experience of managing projects from beginning to completion.
