We are seeking an experienced Freight Warehouse Manager or a strong Supervisor ready to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receiving and offloading of cargo, ensuring items are identified, checked for condition (including stackability), and processed quickly and efficiently. Ensure accurate handling of manifests for incoming shipments.
- Manage the loading and dispatch of products, verifying their identity and suitability for transport while adhering to required timeframes.
- Immediately report any damage to goods or the facility to management, documenting the issue as per procedure, including photographs when necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive records of freight movements to ensure product traceability, with all incoming and outgoing shipments scanned into the system.
- Conduct picking and packing of items according to specific client or product instructions.
- Supervise forklift and manual handling activities, ensuring they are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Ensure warehouse safety and operational procedures are adhered to, in line with Health and Safety Authority (HSA) regulations.
- Keep the warehouse and yard organized and clean, maintaining appropriate storage and clear workspaces.
- Prepare stock reports, manage the inventory system, and perform regular stock checks.
- Record and monitor staff attendance and punctuality, ensuring monthly records are up to date.
- Report any accidents or identify risks and potential hazards in the workplace.
- Coordinate with management and HR to support the training and development of warehouse staff.
- Address customer and internal inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Report any breaches of HSA compliance or other issues to management as soon as they arise.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid and up-to-date Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licenses, as well as Manual Handling certification.
- Experience in preparing and dispatching food shipments in compliance with Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (email) and Excel.
- Completion of Aviation Security Training (Module 11).
- Awareness and understanding of Dangerous Goods Handling protocols.
