<p>A Dublin 11 based freight forwarder now seeks a Freight Forwarding Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of the Freight Forwarding &amp; Customs Clearance functions, supervising a small team handling road, air and sea freight movements. This role is critical to ensuring shipments are booked, documented, and cleared through customs accurately and on time. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be the first point of escalation for the freight forwarding function, ensuring customs documentation is accurate and compliant, service levels are met, and the team is supported, trained, and performing to a high standard.&nbsp;</p>

<p><em><strong>Minimum Requirements;</strong></em></p>

<ul>
	<li>Minimum 3 years&#39; experience in multimodal freight forwarding, customs clearance, or international logistics</li>
	<li>Experience supervising or leading a small team</li>
	<li>Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and international trade compliance</li>
	<li>A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Customs clearance / freight forwarding certification (e.g. FIATA, IATA, or equivalent) is desirable</li>
	<li>Dangerous goods / ADR certification desirable, or willingness to obtain</li>
	<li>Good Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) and experience with freight/customs management systems</li>
	<li>Experienced in handling commercial conversations with customers and carriers</li>
	<li>Track record of managing customer relationships and service level agreements</li>

<p>We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join our busy logistics team. This role is ideal for someone with strong freight forwarding knowledge who can confidently manage international shipments and support the smooth running of import operations across air, sea and road freight.</p>

<p>You will be responsible for coordinating shipments from start to finish, ensuring all documentation, customs requirements and customer communications are handled accurately and efficiently.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>

	<li>Manage daily import activities and oversee shipments throughout the full lifecycle</li>
	<li>Coordinate international freight movements with carriers, agents and internal teams</li>
	<li>Prepare and check customs paperwork and shipping documentation</li>
	<li>Monitor shipment progress, arrange collections and manage pre-alerts</li>
	<li>Provide regular updates to customers and maintain strong working relationships</li>
	<li>Assist with invoicing, cost control and operational records</li>
	<li>Ensure all processes meet compliance and regulatory requirements</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience Required:</strong></p>

	<li>Previous experience within imports and freight forwarding (2&ndash;3 years preferred)</li>
	<li>Good understanding of customs processes and international logistics</li>
	<li>Experience handling air, sea and road freight shipments</li>
	<li>Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills</li>
	<li>Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment</li>
