Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound air and sea freight shipments, ensuring efficient operations, accurate documentation, and high-quality customer service. The role involves liaising with customers, carriers, customs, and internal teams to support smooth import and export processes while maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor import and export air and sea freight shipments.
- Prepare and manage shipment documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Generate operational documents such as booking confirmations and delivery orders.
- Communicate with airlines, hauliers, customs authorities, customers, and international offices.
- Provide shipment tracking, status updates, and customer support.
- Manage quotations, pricing requests, billing, and supplier invoicing processes.
- Produce KPI reports and customer-related operational analysis.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and departmental administrative records.
- Support colleagues during busy periods through cross-functional collaboration.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as required by the business.
Requirements
- Experience in air freight imports and exports.
- Knowledge of ocean freight import and export operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
