Air Freight Operator – AOG

We are seeking a detail-oriented Air Freight Operations Specialist to coordinate time-sensitive international shipments from booking through to final delivery. The role requires strong organisational skills, customer service, accurate documentation, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and maintain shipment files, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate shipment consolidation, flight schedules, airline bookings, and cargo allocation.
• Prepare export documentation and liaise with customs agents to support compliant shipments.
• Notify customers and overseas partners of shipment progress, delivery expectations, and potential delays.
• Monitor shipments after departure and coordinate final delivery confirmation.
• Maintain shipment records, upload proof of delivery, and ensure all milestones are completed.
• Prepare billing information, verify shipment costs, and process customer invoices accurately.
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Follow company procedures and applicable international shipping requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in air freight, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
• Understanding of export documentation and customs procedures.
• Strong communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and confidence using logistics systems.
• Ability to prioritise urgent tasks, solve problems, and work effectively under pressure.
