This role is based in Shannon and supports the Air Import department in managing daily logistics operations. The position involves coordinating air freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors. The role also supports operational efficiency and customer service delivery.
Air Imports Operator – Key Points
- Handle day-to-day air import shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Ensure all shipments are processed in line with company procedures, customs regulations, and airline requirements
- Liaise with airlines, hauliers, agents, and customers to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues
- Prepare and check import documentation including MAWB/HAWB, manifests, and customs paperwork
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely arrivals, customs clearance, and delivery
- Provide shipment updates and customer service support to clients and internal teams
- Assist with rate requests and basic quotations when required
- Ensure accurate data entry, invoicing details, and shipment records within the system
Qualifications Needed
- Experience working in air freight, logistics, or freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of import procedures and customs documentation
- Relevant logistics or supply chain qualification (preferred)
