Role: Air/Ocean Export Coordinator 
Location: Dublin 11 with hybrid (2-3 days WFH)
Terms: Full-time, Permanent
Package: Up to €45k + Bonus & Pension 
Target Applicant: 2+ years Export Air and/or Ocean Freight operations

Dublin 11-based Freight Forwarder, now seek to hire an experienced Air/Ocean Export freight forwarder. The Air/Ocean Export Co-Ordinator is responsible for liaising between customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure efficient deliveries. You will join a fast-paced environment, will be required to think on your feet and have good attention to detail. Teamwork is essential for success in this role. 

Hybrid working is available after 6 weeks of training if the company is satisfied that you are capable of carrying out your duties.

About the job:

  • Creating and amending export manifests;
  • Complete day to day customs clearance activities as instructed;
  • Keep operational staff fully informed of any holds, exams or other areas which may cause delay to a shipment;
  • Identify any potential problem areas before they have an adverse effect on operations and advise your Manager of any areas requiring attention;
  • Develop constructive relationships with operational staff and clients where appropriate;
  • Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently;
  • Assist with invoicing and month-end to ensure that both are completed timely;
  • Work with the operations department to continually improve processes and business performance;
  • Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward;
  • Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

About you:

  • You'll be an experienced in full-cycle Air Freight and/or Ocean Freight and all aspects of the import and export process; 
  • Have solid working knowledge of day-to-day Irish customs clearance activities and be able to export client, agent and partner quotes.
  • A 3rd level qualification in Transport / Logistics, FIATA Diploma or International CPC would be desirable.
  • An excellent customer-centric attitude towards business and a good communicator.  
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to maintain priorities and deadlines.
  • IT literate with experience of freight management and customs software.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • The ability to work on own initiative. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
