Established Logistics company based in Dublin South now requires additional Artic Drivers for Straight Runs. Will also consider recently Qualified Artic Drivers? (EC - E+C Licence)

We have been asked to source an experienced Artic (C +E Class) driver for what straight runs. Please ask yourself the following questions?

Purpose of the role:

To drive the company’s vehicles in a safe manner and make deliveries to the customers as required in a timely and professional manner. This will require straight runs with one drop, maximum two drops per shift. Candidates who are successful at interview stage will be required to complete a Driver Assessment.

General Responsibilities:

• By the nature of the work involved it is first and foremost a requirement that you show respect towards your role, your colleagues and the company as a whole.
• Drive the Company’s vehicle in a safe manner and ensure that the products are delivered in good condition in the time requested to the correct site in an efficient and professional manner
• Conform in all instances to Health & Safety requirements on site, in transit and on the customer site
• Report any near misses/accidents/incidents as required by the company Health & Safety procedures
• Carry (on your person) your photo I.D.
• Check and ensure all delivery paperwork is completed and returned to the assigned deposit location.
• Complete all daily and weekly Truck equipment checks
• Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, polite, well presented and professional during the performance of your duties.
• Update customers on their delivery (time of arriving and any changes that might occur)
• Report any damages made to the vehicle immediately or as soon as possible and ensure the vehicle is locked when unattended
• Keep written emergency instructions readily available in the cab and be familiar with the use of these emergency instructions
• Under the Quality Management System (QMS) ensure you report any quality related non-conformances and adhere to any items that fall under the QMS umbrella
• Ensure you have read and understood transport documentation provided in advance of any transport operation.
• Follow all applicable company policies/procedures/processes

Customer Specific

• Where customers have specific requirements, Drivers must follow the specific site protocol
• Where you are unsure of a Customer request given, contact your line manager for advice

Education & Requirements:

• Full and clean EC Artic Driving license. Recently qualified candidates will be considered as long as you have 1-2 years experience Driving under other Licenses: C/C1
• CPC Certificates as per legislation
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Manual Handling Cert

Competencies:

• Fluent spoken & written English
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication/telephone as well as attention to detail
• Be health & safety conscious
• Reliable, hardworking and very flexible, team player, fast learner

Terms:        

• Pays at an hourly rate + Subsistence
• Overtime after 45 hours @ 150%
• Nightshift premium for unsociable hours
