An established Customs Software provider now seeks an experienced Business Developer with knowledge of customs clearance, international trade and logistics. Reporting to the Country Director, you will be responsible for detecting and developing opportunities through understanding customer needs and monitoring competitor activities.
You should be passionate about creating value through something other than price. You are a goal orientated team player with the ability to work independently. You are comfortable with representing the organisation within professional bodies and your excellent communications skills allow you to network with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect strategic information
- Monitor industry drivers and competitor landscape
- Actively contribute to innovation in the dematerialisation of data exchange landscape
- Represent organisation at professional bodies
- Build long-term relationships with current customers and prospects
- Increase the turnover of existing accounts by offering new products and services, spotting opportunities in the market and further developing them into commercial products.
- Create and maintain a territory plan to achieve revenue targets
- Create and maintain clear pipeline on corporate CRM system
- Responsible for the entire sales process from requirements analysis to tender preparation to the conclusion of the contract
- Value-based approach to selling solutions: works with internal resources to produce a high, relevant, compelling and differentiated value proposition
- Maintains a professional and ethical relationship with internal employees, partners, customers, prospects and all external relationships
Experience & Skills:
- Min 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales in a relevant field
- Knowledge of customs related handling and procedures, international trade and logistics preferred
- Experience of working with CRM systems
- Excellent English written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Additional languages a definite plus
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration/ International Trade / Supply Chain Management or similar
- Full licence and own transport (extensive nationwide travel required)
- An existing network a definite plus
