A South Dublin-based, leading logistics company is seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in selling Contract Logistics to the local market. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven professional to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, while also managing and expanding a small portfolio of existing clients.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across the Irish logistics market.
- Engage potential clients through effective networking, meetings, and value-based selling.
- Manage and grow a select portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Maintain an active and structured sales pipeline using CRM tools and data insights.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
- Collaborate closely with operations and implementation teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service excellence.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to guide business strategy.
- Support company objectives through teamwork, cross-selling, and knowledge sharing.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales or business development within the Irish contract logistics market (history of sales in excess of €1 million).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first approach.
- Confident in building relationships and managing stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently to achieve targets.
- Experience managing CRM systems and maintaining structured sales pipelines.
- Good time and territory management skills with a focus on balancing acquisition and retention.
- Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
