A South Dublin-based, leading logistics company is seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in selling Contract Logistics to the local market. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven professional to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, while also managing and expanding a small portfolio of existing clients.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across the Irish logistics market.
  • Engage potential clients through effective networking, meetings, and value-based selling.
  • Manage and grow a select portfolio of existing customer accounts.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Maintain an active and structured sales pipeline using CRM tools and data insights.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and implementation teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service excellence.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to guide business strategy.
  • Support company objectives through teamwork, cross-selling, and knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales or business development within the Irish contract logistics market (history of sales in excess of €1 million).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Confident in building relationships and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently to achieve targets.
  • Experience managing CRM systems and maintaining structured sales pipelines.
  • Good time and territory management skills with a focus on balancing acquisition and retention.
  • Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
