Leading North Dublin International Logistics company seek an experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to identify, lead and deliver Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level projects for Dublin sites in line with site objectives and together with operational team members. You will guide shopfloor colleagues in the execution of process improvement projects, including lean six sigma yellow/white belts.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Together with the Operation, identify improvement opportunities and convert them into promising LEAN projects.
  • Train, coach and support employees at various levels in the organization in applying continuous improvement techniques and tools.
  • Deploy organisational standards across the sites, taking a hands-on approach, conducting assessments and implementing CI techniques such as: SQCDEP boards, 5S, visual management, standard work and others.
  • Support design and implementation of KPIs dashboards and Productivity management system (PMX).
  • Lead or co-lead Value Stream Analysis events.
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement techniques and Production System tools such as: SQCDP boards, 5S, visual management, standardization, VSM and more.
  • Translate national-level targets to practical objectives at the operations level.
  • Actively communicate progress about Continuous Improvement actions via regular presentations as well as reporting and following up on financial project results.
  • Guide and support the management team in developing knowledge concerning Production System and lean thinking.
  • Facilitate and foster the Continuous Improvement culture across the sites.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, business economics or logistics.
  • At least 3 years’ of proven experience in Continuous improvement Green Belt projects execution and expertise in Lean Six Sigma Tools within an operational environment (Logistics, Supply chain, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of lean philosophy and experience in the implementation of lean tools or lean programs.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently whilst also being an effective team member within a team environment across sites.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and the creation of presentations.
  • Strong communication skills, change management skills, team motivation and development of people.
  • Ability to present information and new ideas in an articulate manner and to translate this into practical solutions within the operation.
  • Share enthusiasm for our business - respectful and accountable, high level of self and team motivation and have a proven history of achievements and successes.
  • Green Belt certification (plus)
  • Knowledge of Minitab system (plus)
  • Knowledge of Tableau system (plus)
