Our client is a long-established and well-respected freight forwarder, recognised for delivering reliable and tailored logistics solutions to clients across multiple industries. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Customer Service & Operations Agent to join their team. Full on-the-job training will be provided along with career progression opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to start a career in freight forwarding. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training across customer service and operational processes, supporting the coordination and execution of domestic and international shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure the smooth handling of shipments.
- Process shipment bookings and prepare necessary documentation.
- Update customers on shipment status and proactively resolve any issues.
- Input and maintain accurate records on internal systems.
- Support operations staff with planning and scheduling deliveries and collections.
- Assist in customs clearance processes as required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant industry regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of office-based customer service experience
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Competent in basic computer applications (MS Office).
- A positive, eager-to-learn attitude — no previous freight experience required.
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English.
- Ability to work without restriction (Stamp 1G graduate visa holders will not be considered as will applicants requiring sponsorship).
